Whether your child is just starting out or ready to build on their skills, our summer swimming programme offers fun, structured lessons for all levels.


🐠 For Children Aged 4+

We follow a staged approach to help your child build water confidence and swim safely, progressing through key milestones:


Stage 1 – Non-Swimmer

  • Move forwards and backwards through the water for 5 metres

  • Blow bubbles with face in the water

  • Regain upright position from front and back

  • Float using aids or support


Stage 2

  • Push and glide from the wall on front and back

  • Attempt turning on the side and rotate between front/back

  • Swim 5 metres on front and back


Stage 3

  • Push and glide into a log roll

  • Swim 10 metres on front and back, turning to the side to breathe

  • Breaststroke arms and legs introduced

  • Fully submerge to retrieve an object


Stage 4

  • Push and glide to the pool floor

  • Swim 10 metres front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly legs

  • Head-first sculling for 5 metres

  • Perform floating sequences


Stage 5

  • Scull 5 metres (both feet-first and on the back)

  • Tread water for 30 seconds

  • Swim 10 metres confidently in all strokes

  • Perform a somersault and handstand


🐬 Over 8s Beginners Group

Aimed at children aged 8+ who are new to swimming. This group provides a welcoming introduction to the water and covers the basic skills needed to progress through all four strokes with confidence.
