We are looking for a Contract Manager on a six-month fixed term contract to cover the maternity leave.

This role will continue to oversee the smooth running of the facilities of Leisure Focus, ensuring the Trust is compliant and can achieve our charitable goals. To consistently develop and improve operational procedures and to develop and maintain quality-assured procedures for all aspects of the facilities operations in-line with Leisure safe.

Reporting into the Operations Director, this role is such an exciting opportunity for someone to step up and have a strong influence on the culture, direction and success of a new business. Leisure Focus has ambitious plans and is looking at innovative ways to engage the local community through the leisure offer.


This comprehensive contract management role will manage, develop and co-ordinate staff resources effectively to meet the operational requirements of the Contract and to create a dynamic, innovative and responsive staff team through open communication and leadership.


Additionally, you will:

● To line manage a team of General Managers.
● To input into and implement the strategy for the business.
● To consistently enhance both the financial performance and usage of the Contract.
● To ensure the effective running of the leisure facilities for the community
● Develop, maintain and evolve good relations with existing and new clients.

within the contract.
● Monitor the performance of the operation through the accounting and reporting platforms.
● Assist the Operations Director on the health and safety systems and actively participate in the
maintenance and improvement of the overall trust's health and safety culture.

The ideal candidate will take a lead role to oversee the management and support the strategic development of the catering and retail offering within Leisure Focus, ensuring the Trust is compliant and can achieve our charitable goals.   • Are flexible and can adapt to changes on shift accordingly and willingly
  • Are willing to work from various local locations within the company as and when required
  • Are willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Are willing to work extra hours should the centre need it
  • Are professional at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Level 2 Swimming Instructors...

  • Have a Swim England Level 2 or STA Full Swimming Instructor Qualifications (or the equivalent international qualification)
  • Have experience of swimming teaching
  • Have or have held a recognised pool rescue award (preferable). Or be able to obtain it within a set period if not held.

DBS

Level 2 Swimming Instructor positions are classed as a regulated post and therefore will require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.

Job Description 

The role of Recreational Assistant is a great position to be able to carry out and be involved in the full range of leisure activities. Continually customer-facing the role provides rewarding opportunities.


Meeting new people, variation in both activities and learning provides an exciting working day, every day, for our Recreational Assistants.

 

Primary Objectives for the Recreational Assistant will be:

● To ensure the safety of and enjoyment of everybody using the Leisure Centre.

● To partake in the management of all aspects of the daily activities of the Centre.


What we are looking for in a Recreational assistant is someone with a can-do attitude, a person who can time manage their shifts to complete tasks, and support management in the efficient running of the leisure centre. If you are a hardworking, flexible, punctual, team player with excellent organizational, written and verbal skills, you are exactly who we want to join our dedicated team here at Charters Leisure Centre.

 

Job Purposes
● Acts as receptionist by operating booking and management system.
● Maintains, cleans and tidies the facility including changing rooms, toilets, and outside area. Carry out all cleaning duties as required.
● Where necessary, prepare the courts. Carrying out duties such as taking down and putting up tennis court nets and ensuring all areas are hazard free before use.
● Ensure that the premises are secure when opening in the morning and locking up at night and being responsible for a set of keys.
● To assist with the safeguarding of children using the facilities daily.
● To carry out any other reasonable duties and  responsibilities within the overall function of the day to day running of the facility.
