Job Summary
Title: Duty Manager (Windsor Leisure Centre)
Reporting to: Centre Manager
Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 (dependent on experience)
Annual Leave: 28 days paid annual leave per year
Pension: NEST Auto Enrolment after 3 months service
Come and join our Leisure Focus Duty Manager team. This role is pivotal to the operations of our leisure centres. Managing and inspiring a large team of several departments day to day, ensuring our customers have the best customer journey from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Our Duty Managers are forward thinking and passionate about leading their team, ensuring all employees are developed to their full potential. Roles & Responsibilities
- Can ensure the highest possible standards of Health & Safety within the centre by being fully knowledgeable in the company's H & S procedures and ensuring these procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.
- Can ensure the highest possible standards of customer care within the centre.
- Can develop and promote an exciting, innovative leisure programme in order to increase the usage and profitability of the Centre.
- Can assume shift management responsibility for the centre to maximise the total performance of the centre and maintain the highest standards of customer care. Can act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre.
- Care about our customers and want them to have their best customer journey - they arrive happy and leave happy wanting to return.
- Care about the team of employees they manage daily and have passion to develop them to their full potential.
- Can ensure all staff are kept informed of the Centre’s activities and special events.
- Can ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort to achieve a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and employees.
- Can and is willing to deputise for the Contract Manager/Centre Manager as requested.
- Can and is willing to assist the Contract Manager/Centre Manager in providing appropriate staff training and development.
- Can ensure that the objectives of the contract are achieved and the appropriate financial systems and procedures are implemented.
- Can be responsible for the provision of teaching and coaching courses for all areas of the operation, including recruitment and maintenance of a register of qualified coaches.
- Can express innovative ideas and suggestions to improve our company. Can identify and assess the feasibility of new activities which the Centre could provide.
- Can achieve maximum levels of participation in all courses and activities. Monitoring cost effectiveness and highlighting and rectifying areas of low performance.
- Can produce performance records, statistics, targets and reports for programming and associated activities.
- Can assist in the marketing and publicity of all activities and events and develop distribution networks for promotional materials and merchandising of products.
- Can ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the Centre.
- Can assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures and undertake any regulatory requirements.
- Can lead and assist the running of events.
- Can act as a main key holder for the Centre and be responsible for opening and closing of the building and emergency call-outs.
- Can be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required.
- Can undertake any other duties as may be required by the Contract Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved.

Qualifications
- Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have to knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification
- Has knowledge and skills in the Leisure or a related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
- Has a Pool Plant Operators qualification or is able and willing to achieve this qualification.
- Has a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or is able and willing to achieve the qualification.

The Person
Leisure Focus is looking to welcome new dynamic instructors to join our existing team of amazing class instructors. If you feel you can bring a new vibe to group exercise, can be an excellent motivator and provide our members with the “wow” factor, we want to hear from you.
The Role
The programme currently includes Les Mills, HITT, Zumba, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, and many more. Class duration varies from 30 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the class genre. We currently deliver over 220 classes per week across our sites in Windsor, Maidenhead, and Ascot.

Our Level 1 Swim Instructors…

- Thrives on supporting their Level 2 Swim Instructor and students to achieve their swimming potential, drawing on their knowledge and experience of industry best practice, progression levels, and teaching skills that they apply in the most effective way
- Have a working knowledge of aquatic health and safety, as will an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Are approachable, friendly and patient, with a firm ability to build trust, encourage and motivate their pupils
- Can ensure the successful delivery of the trusts swim school in line with company policy and the Swim England NPTS
- Can assist in teaching customers of a varying age and ability as per the Swim England NPTS and complete all necessary reports.
- Can ensure teaching, customer care and health and safety standards are maintained in line with company policy
- Can maximise the retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation and customer care
- Can ensure strong communication links between yourself, you Level 2 Swim Instructor, the swim school coordinator, reception and duty management
- Can deal with customer enquiries, feedback and concerns

OVERVIEW
Come and join our Leisure Focus Senior Recreation Assistant team. This role is pivotal to the operations of our leisure centres. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise the lifeguard team & regular pool rotations
• Comply with H&S procedures and standards of the centre
• Supervising and cleaning the pool area
• Setting up equipment
• Deliver first-class customer service
• Deal with customer queries
• When not poolside you will be a key support to your team on a daily basis from preparing Studios,
Gyms or Sports Halls for various activities to the general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable
● Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have to knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification
