The ideal candidate will take a lead role to oversee the management and support the strategic development of the catering and retail offering within Leisure Focus, ensuring the Trust is compliant and can achieve our charitable goals. The role is a contract wide position and will support the General Managers and Catering teams in the delivery of the catering & retail performance, service and compliance. The role will require working shifts and support the catering teams during busy periods and assisting with any event catering. 

Additionally, you will: 

  • Help drive brand awareness within ‘The Avenue catering brand
  • Line management of ‘The Avenue’ catering teams at each site.
  • The efficient deployment of the catering rotas in allocation within budgetary limits Supporting the Senior Receptionists and General Managers on achieving the retail and catering financial budgets, exceeds these targets where possible by developing strategies to increase sales
  • Direct and control all food preparation within established and legislative guidelines whilst maintaining the documentation
  • Regular reviews of the food menus to ensure it meets the customer demand and offering, with consideration given to waste, cost and quality control.
  • Regular supplier analysis and procurement where required
  • Work with and support the Commercial & Compliance Manager in all stages of department wide and site-specific catering & retail projects
  • To develop and review policies and procedures relating to all services under the scope of this role.

The post holder must have a food and hygiene level 2 qualification and have proven experience in managing catering & retail operations. Experience in the leisure industry is desirable but not essential.

As a Sales Advisor you’ll manage the customer database, proactively driving membership sales; and you’ll provide accurate information and assist customers in weighing up their options, selecting the right level of membership for them. You’ll also assist in the communication and promotion of the Centre’s services, and assist with lead generation. This is a results driven role, where your natural ability to influence and persuade will shine through.

To be successful as a Sales Advisor you’ll need flexible and effective verbal communication, numerical and written skills, as you’ll be swiftly and accurately processing transactions. Preferably you’ll have experience of delivering first-class customer service, and achieving KPIs in a target-driven sales environment. You will also need a “can-do”, solutions-focused attitude; nothing is too much trouble for you!

Some of the main tasks and responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • To actively promote membership packages within the centre in line with instructions from the

Qualifications

  • Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have to knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification

  • Has a Pool Plant Operators qualification or is able and willing to achieve this qualification.
  • Has a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or is able and willing to achieve the qualification.

It’s your job to ensure each party group feels like a true VIP! The Party staff are focused on the parties, ensuring each party runs smoothly and on time, however all our staff learn to multi-task and in any down time will help cover other areas of the business. Party hosts are required to be able to work school holidays and most weekends

 

Main responsibilities:

Greeting party groups when they arrive.

This includes taking food orders for the group,

Looking after your party group for the duration of their stay at Leisure Focus. It is important you ensure your guests have the best possible experience.

So be sure to smile and interact!

Setting up party rooms as well as ensuring the party rooms are clean and tidy after each party finishes .

Deal with any customer requests promptly and courteously

Ensuring party bills are paid at the end of the party. -

Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage supervisor will be:

  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the Café/Bar in order to maximise business opportunities in line with the company business plan.
  • To be part of the Food and Beverage team that provides an exciting, healthy, innovative, quality food and beverage operation in order to create demand which meets customer needs whilst increasing profitability.
  • To provide the highest possible standards of Customer Care within a healthy and safe environment by guiding, caring for and assisting customers in their choice and use of the catering facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The Leisure Focus Trust is looking for talented swimming teachers, who not only have good technical abilities but a true love of teaching. If you have a passion for developing swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water for our swim school customers, then this role is for you. Come and join our team to lead safe, effective, meaningful and interesting lessons for adults and children of varying ages and abilities, including those with additional needs where relevant. Our Level 2 Swimming Instructors are critical to our community, providing an essential  life saving skill to all those who participate.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Level 2 Swim Instructors…

  • Have a passion for aquatics and helping young people to be the best they can be.
  • Thrives on supporting their students to achieve their swimming potential, drawing on their knowledge and experience of industry best practice, progression levels, and teaching skills that they apply in the most effective way
  • Have a working knowledge of aquatic health and safety, as will an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Are approachable, friendly and patient, with a firm ability to build trust, encourage and motivate your pupils
  • Can ensure the successful delivery of the trusts swim school in line with company policy and the Swim England NPTS 
  • Can teach customers of a varying age and ability as per the Swim England NPTS and complete all necessary reports
  • Can ensure teaching, customer care and health and safety standards are maintained in line with company policy
  • Can maximise the retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation and customer care
  • Can ensure strong communication links between yourself, the swim school coordinator, reception and duty management
  • Can deal with customer enquiries, feedback and concerns

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Level 2 Swimming Instructors...

  • Have a Swim England Level 2 or STA Full Swimming Instructor Qualifications (or the equivalent international qualification)
  • Have experience of swimming teaching
  • Have or have held a recognised pool rescue award (preferable). Or be able to obtain it within a set period if not held.

DBS

Level 2 Swimming Instructor positions are classed as a regulated post and therefore will require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
