Duty Manager - Windsor Leisure Centre

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000per year (depending on experience)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Duty Managers…..

  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of Health & Safety within the centre by being fully knowledgeable in the company's H & S procedures and ensuring these procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.
  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of customer care within the centre.
  • Can develop and promote an exciting, innovative leisure programme in order to increase the usage and profitability of the Centre.
  • Can assume shift management responsibility for the centre to maximise the total performance of the centre and maintain the highest standards of customer care. Can act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre.

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Duty Managers……..

  • Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have to knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification
  • Has knowledge and skills in the Leisure or a related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
  • Has a Pool Plant Operators qualification or is able and willing to achieve this qualification.
  • Has a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or is able and willing to achieve the qualification.

As a Food & Beverage supervisor you will be guided by the values to lead by example and inspire your team every shift to ensure the highest standards of delivery at all times. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage supervisor will be:

  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the Café/Bar in order to maximise business opportunities in line with the company business plan.
  • To be part of the Food and Beverage team that provides an exciting, healthy, innovative, quality food and beverage operation in order to create demand which meets customer needs whilst increasing profitability.
  • To provide the highest possible standards of Customer Care within a healthy and safe environment by guiding, caring for and assisting customers in their choice and use of the catering facilities.
  • Ensuring excellent presentation of food and beverages to the customer at all times.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
  • Being aware of all Health and Safety issues, constantly implementing and assessing procedures, and drawing attention to any useful practices.
  • Providing innovative ideas and initiating action to increase the usage of the Food and Beverage facilities.

The Food and Beverage supervisor will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • Ensure that kitchens, food preparation areas, servery's and customer areas are clean and tidy, including the clearing of tables.

The Food and Beverage Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To supervise the day to day operation of the bar, restaurant and kitchen of the Centre.
  • To prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.
  • To undertake front of house bar duties as necessary.
  • To ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.
  • Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.
  • To ensure that the kitchen and bar areas are entered only by authorised persons.
  • To ensure that the vending machines are maintained on a regular basis
  • To ensure that all cleaning duties are completed whilst on shift.
  • To ensure that all injuries involving staff and members of the public are reported to the Centre Manager.
  • To record any complaints and to pass to the Centre Manager.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are carried out at all times.
  • Ensure that a consistently high level of service is delivered to customers.
  • To assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • To undertake cleaning duties as required.
  • To undertake any regulatory requirements.

  • To clean all areas of the facility as per the cleaning rota’s and direction of the management team.
  • To maintain safe working practices at all times.

The Cleaner will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To follow the cleaning rota’s set out by management ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • To take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and follow safe working practices.
  • To ensure all cleaning procedures are followed at all times and relevant PPE is worn as required.
  • To report any safety issues or concerns that may arise.
  • To attend training as required for the role.
  • To be presentable at all times.

Come and join the Leisure Focus admin team. The Administration Assistant has a varied and interesting role.  The activities in a Leisure Centre are wide ranging and the involvement with people is continuous.  This allows for an exciting day, using your skills on a diverse range of jobs.

  • To provide a proficient administrative support service to the Admin Manager coupled with the efficient day-to-day running of the administration service.
  • To provide excellent customer care to all users of the facility and employees. 
  • Can work individually or as part of a team to ensure that customers needs are understood and met
  • To build a relationship with the bookers of the centre, meeting customers and answering their queries.
  • Prepare, process and monitor all invoices raised by the centres.
  • Ensure office supplies are maintained, arranging for replenishment through external suppliers when appropriate.
  • To maintain staff personnel records, including recruitment correspondence, terms and conditions, training and induction, holiday and sickness records etc. 
  • To ensure the office is clean, tidy and a pleasant environment in which to work.

OVERVIEW

The Leisure Focus Trust is looking for talented swimming teachers, who not only have good technical abilities but a true love of teaching. If you have a passion for developing swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water for our swim school customers, then this role is for you. Come and join our team to assist our Level 2 Swim Instructors lead safe, effective, meaningful and interesting lessons for adults and children of varying ages and abilities, including those with additional needs where relevant. Swimming Lessons are critical to our community, providing an essential  life saving skill to all those who participate.

  • Have a working knowledge of aquatic health and safety, as will an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Are approachable, friendly and patient, with a firm ability to build trust, encourage and motivate their pupils
  • Can ensure the successful delivery of the trusts swim school in line with company policy and the Swim England NPTS 
  • Can assist in teaching customers of a varying age and ability as per the Swim England NPTS and complete all necessary reports.
  • Can ensure teaching, customer care and health and safety standards are maintained in line with company policy
  • Can maximise the retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation and customer care
  • Can ensure strong communication links between yourself, you Level 2 Swim Instructor, the swim school coordinator, reception and duty management
  • Can deal with customer enquiries, feedback and concerns

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Level 1 Swimming Instructors...

  • Have a Swim England Level 1 Swimming Instructor Qualification
  • Have or have held a recognised pool rescue award (preferable). Or be able to obtain it within a set period if not held.

DBS

Level 1 Swimming Instructor positions are classed as a regulated post and therefore will require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.

The Leisure Focus Trust is looking for talented swimming teachers, who not only have good technical abilities but a true love of teaching. If you have a passion for developing swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water for our swim school customers, then this role is for you. Come and join our team to lead safe, effective, meaningful and interesting lessons for adults and children of varying ages and abilities, including those with additional needs where relevant. Our Level 2 Swimming Instructors are critical to our community, providing an essential  life saving skill to all those who participate.

HR ADMIN ASSISTANT

£20,000 - £22,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW

The HR Admin Assistant has a varied and interesting role.  The activities in a Leisure Centre are wide ranging and people are at the heart of everything we do both in relation to our customers and our colleagues.  This allows for an exciting day, using your skills on a diverse range of activities.. You will be working closely with the Business Support Manager and assisting with all the operational areas of people services.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support employee resourcing across the whole recruitment cycle including the production of job descriptions, adverts, interview scheduling and invites and employment offers
  • Update vacancies on the Company website
  • Provide administrative support for a range of HR initiatives
  • Produce, issue and file all HR letters including contractual variations.
  • Undertake the coordination and administration of employee benefits
  • Carry out payroll administration and coordination
  • Co-ordinate training including making arrangements and providing administrative support.
  • Process and coordinate new starters and leavers
  • Maintain employee personal records, including recruitment correspondence, terms and conditions, training and induction, holiday and sickness records etc. 
  • Support HR meetings through issuing invites, taking notes and minutes.
  • Undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • Can ensure a warm friendly and professional service with high standard of customer care at all times in order to generate customer loyalty

Our HR Admin Assistant

  • Will ideally hold or be working towards a recognised HR qualification or be able to demonstrate an interest in HR.
  • Will have a good general education including a minimum Grade 5 GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and a desire to achieve
  • Have previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within recruitment or HR but this is not essential.
