ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Duty Managers…..

  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of Health & Safety within the centre by being fully knowledgeable in the companies H & S procedures and ensuring these procedures and responsibilities are carried out at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Duty Managers……..

  • Have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject or have to knowledge and are looking to achieve such qualification
  • Has knowledge and skills in the Leisure or a related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
  • Has a Pool Plant Operators qualification or is able and willing to achieve this qualification.
  • Has a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) or is able and willing to achieve the qualification.

DBS

As a Food & Beverage supervisor you will be guided by the values to lead by example and inspire your team every shift to ensure the highest standards of delivery at all times. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage supervisor will be:

  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the Café/Bar in order to maximise business opportunities in line with the company business plan.
  • To be part of the Food and Beverage team that provides an exciting, healthy, innovative, quality food and beverage operation in order to create demand which meets customer needs whilst increasing profitability.
  • To provide the highest possible standards of Customer Care within a healthy and safe environment by guiding, caring for and assisting customers in their choice and use of the catering facilities.
  • Ensuring excellent presentation of food and beverages to the customer at all times.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
  • Being aware of all Health and Safety issues, constantly implementing and assessing procedures, and drawing attention to any useful practices.
  • Providing innovative ideas and initiating action to increase the usage of the Food and Beverage facilities.
  • Ensure company financial regulations are adhered to in terms of cash handling, reconciliation and invoice processing.
  • Ensure staff understand and observe matters relating to licensing laws.

The Food and Beverage supervisor will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • Support the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as appropriate.
  • To ensure sufficient staff are available for the safe, high quality functioning of the Café/Bar.
  • Ensure that kitchens, food preparation areas, servery's and customer areas are clean and tidy, including the clearing of tables. 
  • To ensure that Food and Beverage areas are well presented.
  • To serve Food and Beverages as appropriate.
  • To carry out Bar Services as required.
  • To support specific events as required.
  • Maintain Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
  • To take cash from customers and ensure all cash handling procedures are adhered to.
  • Stimulate secondary spend by facility users by way of regular promotional activity.
  • Monitor food and beverage stocks, restocking as required, ordering through our suppliers.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the running of the overall facility

OVERVIEW 

Working within a fast-paced leisure organisation, the Sports Inclusion and participation Manager will help create and deliver the strategy for inclusive sports across all Leisure focus sites. The post holder will be experienced at securing funding to support the accessibility and range of activities on offer. The sports inclusion and participation manager will work with key partners to help get more people engaged in activity. A hands-on approach to delivering community programmes is essential.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Increase participation levels across the leisure centres for people with disabilities.
  • Within 12 months to increase participation numbers by 500 for post covid inactivity programmes and engage with communities to combat post covid inactivity.
  • To ensure the safety and enjoyment of everybody involved in using the leisure facilities
  • Develop the sports inclusion strategy through an inclusive programme of sport-specific activities for the local community regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnicity, religion and culture
  • Work with partner organisations to raise awareness to the programme
  • To take responsibility for all aspects of delivering sports course and providing new opportunities for customers

  • The post holder will be responsible for promoting disability supported sessions, the  referral scheme, SMILE and its associated classes. 
  • This post will organise, develop and deliver a varied range of sporting activities, projects or programmes 
  • Working with sports bodies to help develop policies and strategies to encourage more people to take part in sport 
  • Targeting specific groups such as people with disabilities or those from disadvantaged communities, to encourage them to play sport 
  • Coaching or supervising sessions. 
  • Support, guide and advise colleges on matters relating to sports policy and programmes, national and regional funding streams, new developments in the sector, facility development and strategic planning which impact on the provision of opportunities for all participants.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable experience of sports development 
  • Advocate of customer care ensuring that the experience of each customer is positive and satisfactory 
  • Ability to manage projects from development to implementation; including experience applying for and monitoring externally funded projects 
  • The ability to present information in an accurate and appropriate format; illustrating good communication, personal organisation and interpersonal skills 
  • Able to use own initiative, self motivated and committed to ongoing personal development and training 
  • Ability to work in a team and have a flexible approach to work Desirable Interview Experience of prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines 
  • Experience working with external agencies, volunteer groups and volunteers 
  • Relevant professional qualification, degree or equivalent 
  • Ability to work flexibly and attend meetings out of hours and on weekends. 
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Can actively promote membership packages within the centre in line with targets set by the from the Sales Manager/Centre Manager 
  • Can achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • Can assist in delivering the highest level of customer care, including meeting regularly with existing members to ensure the level of service is maintained
  • Can assist in the promotion and marketing of the centre, its services and facilities, which entails outreach in the surrounding areas
  • Can maximise new business conversion through effective sales closure
  • Can maximise cross-selling and up-selling opportunities through proactive initiatives
  • Can handle membership enquiries and bookings
  • Can answer telephone calls efficiently and effectively within the company standards. 
  • Can have a good understanding of the trusts social media platforms, including website and app so you can assist customers with any issues
  • Can control customers entering the Leisure Centre, issuing receipts where required
  • Are aware of all relevant Health and Safety policies/procedures for the Leisure Centre, to constantly enforce them with the public where necessary and to raise any concerns to management
  • Can follow the financial procedures with regards to cash handling and reconciliation of monies.
  • Can operate the communication systems at the Leisure Centre, such as public address system & telephones
  • Can communicate messages effectively to the rest of the leisure centre team.
  • Can operate a computerised front of house system which includes different booking systems and process payments for point of sale products
  • Can deal with customer complaints or comments as per the company procedures
  • Can keep the membership area, tidy and a pleasant environment in which to work
  • Can undertake any other task/duties as may be reasonably required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage Assistant will be:

  • To supervise the day to day operations of the bar and catering facilities.
  • To ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care.

The Food and Beverage Assistant will focus day to day on the following tasks:

  • To supervise the day to day operation of the bar, restaurant and kitchen of the Centre.
  • To prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with the requirements of the Centre.
  • To undertake front of house bar duties as necessary.
  • To ensure that all food is covered, stored, labelled and dated to meet the food safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 or the terms of subsequent legislation.
  • Make sure that food is handled, stored, prepared and served in such a way and such condition as to prevent contamination of food and drink.
  • To ensure that the kitchen and bar areas are entered only by authorised persons.
  • To ensure that the vending machines are maintained on a regular basis
  • To ensure that all cleaning duties are completed whilst on shift.
  • To ensure that all injuries involving staff and members of the public are reported to the Centre Manager.
  • To record any complaints and to pass to the Centre Manager.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are carried out at all times.
  • Ensure that a consistently high level of service is delivered to customers.
  • To assist in the management of the Centre’s quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • To undertake cleaning duties as required.
  • To undertake any regulatory requirements.
  • To be responsible and accountable for cash handling as required. 
  • Ensure that company financial regulations are adhered to in terms of cash handling.
  • To ensure that a safe and efficient service is provided for the public.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be required by the Centre Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the contract are achieved

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • The post holder will preferably hold a recognised qualification in Catering, or related subject, first aid certificate and Food and Hygiene Certificate along with strong knowledge of the Leisure or related industry in a small/medium sized enterprise.
