ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Duty Managers…..

  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of customer care within the centre
  • Can develop and promote an exciting, innovative leisure programme in order to increase the usage and profitability of the Centre
  • Can assume shift management responsibility for the centre to maximise the total performance of the centre and maintain the highest standards of customer care. Can act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre

  • Can act as a main key holder for the Centre and be responsible for opening and closing of the building and emergency call-outs.

Leisure Focus is looking for an Assistant Manager to take the lead role in developing the Windsor Leisure Centre business. Reporting into the Centre Manager, this role is such an exciting opportunity for someone to have a strong influence on the culture, direction and success of a flagship leisure facility. As a company, Leisure Focus has ambitious plans and is looking at innovative ways to engage the local community through the leisure offer. The Assistant Manager will inspire and lead the team to ensure the highest standards of delivery at all times. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s operations are fully compliant with relevant legislation as well as managing and developing the Centres community engagement work and wider commercial offer. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Assistant Managers..

Primary objectives for the Assistant Manager will be: 

  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety and customer care within the Centre
  • Can develop and promote an exciting, innovative leisure programme in order to increase the usage and profitability of the Centre
  • Can assume shift management responsibility for the centre to maximise the total performance of the centre and maintain the highest standards of customer care
  • Can assist the Centre Manager in financial planning and budget setting to maximise the profitability of the business
  • Can organise and manage the Duty Manager team in the absence of the CM 

The Assistant Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks: 

  • Can deputise for the Centre Manager as requested
  • Can act as a member of the Leisure Centre management team on a shift rota system, during opening hours of the Centre

Our Level 2 Swimming Instructors are critical to our community, providing an essential  life saving skill to all those who participate.

Our Level 2 Swim Instructors…

OVERVIEW

Come and join our Leisure Focus Recreation Assistant team. This role is crucial to the operations of our leisure centres. Working on the front line, ensuring our customers have the best customer journey from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Our recreation assistants gain a wide skill set and range of experiences which are relevant to carry forward to any career pathway. Saving lives being one of them. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Recreation Assistants...

  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of health & safety within the centre
  • Can ensure the highest possible standards of customer care within the centre
  • Care about our customers and want them to have their best customer journey - they arrive happy and leave happy wanting to return
  • Can assist the Senior Recreation Assistant and Duty Manager to ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort to achieve a safe and welcoming environment for our customers
  • Can assist the Senior Recreation Assistant and Duty Manager to achieve effective control and security of the facility, patrolling all appropriate areas ensuring that equipment is stored safely and securely
  • Enjoy completing a variety of tasks throughout their shift in all areas and departments of the centre.
  • Can use their own initiative when completing daily tasks and duties and are accountable for their own actions
  • Enjoy working as part of our team who support each other to achieve the objectives and targets of the centre
  • Can respond to emergency situations in accordance with their training
  • Can be aware of all health & safety issues, constantly implement and assess procedures and draw attention to any unsafe practices
  • Can express innovative ideas and suggestions to improve our company
  • Can ensure all parts of the Centre are safe and secure when not in use
  • Can and are willing to cover duties of such other members of staff as required
  • Can undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the running of the Leisure Centre
  • Are proud to positively portray our company and the centre by wearing the uniform provided whilst on duty

QUALIFICATIONS

Our Recreation Assistants...

  • Have a good general education and a desire to achieve a leisure management qualification. 
  • Have a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Ongoing training is provided to all our lifeguards.

DBS

Recreation Assistant positions are classed as a regulated post and therefore will require a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.

OVERVIEW

Come and join the Leisure Focus admin team. The Administration Assistant has a varied and interesting role.  The activities in a Leisure Centre are wide ranging and the involvement with people is continuous.  This allows for an exciting day, using your skills on a diverse range of jobs.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Our administration assistants...

  • To provide a proficient administrative support service to the Admin Manager coupled with the efficient day-to-day running of the administration service.
  • To provide excellent customer care to all users of the facility and employees. 
  • Can work individually or as part of a team to ensure that customers needs are understood and met
  • To build a relationship with the bookers of the centre, meeting customers and answering their queries.
  • Prepare, process and monitor all invoices raised by the centres.
  • Ensure office supplies are maintained, arranging for replenishment through external suppliers when appropriate.
  • To maintain staff personnel records, including recruitment correspondence, terms and conditions, training and induction, holiday and sickness records etc. 
  • To ensure the office is clean, tidy and a pleasant environment in which to work.
  • To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • Can ensure a warm friendly and professional service with high standard of customer care at all times in order to generate customer loyalty
  • Can assist the customers with their booking requirements and receive payments for use of the centre’s facilities
  • Can answer telephone calls efficiently and effectively within the company standard
